Principle of Reverse Osmosis (RO) Technology
Osmosis phenomenon: Water molecules naturally flow from a low-concentration solution (pure water) through a semipermeable
membrane to a high-concentration solution (salt water).
Reverse Osmosis (RO): By applying pressure (usually 5-8 bar), water molecules are forced to reversely osmosis from the
high-concentration side (raw water) to the low-concentration side (pure water), while dissolved salts, bacteria, viruses, heavy
metals, etc. are blocked and discharged by the membrane.
Filtration accuracy: The pore size of the RO membrane is about 0.0001 microns, which can remove 95%~99% of dissolved
solids (TDS), heavy metals (lead, arsenic), bacteria, viruses, etc.
